I am so grateful to Marshall and Nisha for their outstanding service. In 2002, I filed my immigration petition for asylum with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. My petition was denied and I was placed in removal proceedings. My initial attorney refused to further work on my case, stating that I had no chance of success. I was desperate to find a competent and reliable immigration attorney. I came to Marshall Cohen for a consultation. He made a sincere offer that he and his associate, Nisha Karnani, would do their best to win this case for me.
I can't possibly stress enough how important it is for an individual to choose an experience and competent lawyer. I know that Cohen & Associates has the knowledge and more importantly the passion to work with you through this process.

I am very happy I have found the law office of Marshall Cohen & Associates as it has helped me greatly with the adjustment of my status in the U.S. I am a scientist working in California and I had consulted Marshall Cohen as a lawyer to handle my case during the time I was working in Atlanta.
Marshall Cohen had filed my petition for an EB-1 visa and I was very happy with the whole process. He explained what would be required, right up to my final interview. The work by Marshall and his staff was systematic, personalized and responsive. I always felt I was in good hands. I strongly recommend Marshall to anyone looking for an immigration attorney.

To date, Marshall still handles my case with commitment and proper professional practice. He is particularly helpful in providing a better understanding of legal and technical information for foreign nationals seeking to reside or work in the U.S.
With so much information on the web, in addition to do-it-yourself, there are a growing number of people who do turn to the Internet to seek a good immigration attorney. But where there are more choices there is also more room for mistakes and incompetence. A really good immigration attorney is a necessity. Therefore, I would heartily recommend the law firm of Marshall Cohen & Associates.

As a Jamaican citizen I turned to Cohen & Associates for assistance in securing permanent resident status in the USA. I have been very happy with my decision to trust Marshall Cohen and his staff to guide me to my now attained permanent status.

On February 10, 2003, my husband registered with the Department of Homeland Security pursuant to "Special Registration." At that time his passport was taken from him and he was placed in deportation proceedings. Our attorney in Charlotte, NC referred us to Marshall Cohen of Cohen & Associates in Atlanta, GA to assist us in terminating these proceedings. We first consulted with Marshall by phone on March 14, 2003. Our case was resolved on December 29, 2003 when the Immigration Judge in Atlanta terminated the deportation proceedings.
Marshall and his staff were all very helpful, honest and professional. We feel they treated us with respect and concern. We are grateful to Marshall for helping us through that terrifying hurdle in the immigration process and would consult him again in the future if needed. Not only did our attorney in Charlotte refer us to Marshall, but two other individuals highly recommended him as well. We signed a contract with Marshall feeling very confident he would do everything he could to resolve our case. Marshall was very good about keeping in contact with us by phone and by email.

We would like to thank you for the great work you did on our green card application. In fact, I was impressed with the review made for my National Interest Waiver application. My experience and education were described so well and in such bright colors. Therefore, I still keep a copy of it as one of the best examples of my research background. We have been really pleased with the friendly attitude of your team, and really liked the virtuous and relaxed environment at your office. In my opinion, it is so important to deal with good people.

Cohen & Associates was very helpful to me. I needed to meet Marshall in-person only once, because he and his staff took care of everything else. We talked several times on the phone and Marshall forwarded me all the information in a timely manner. Pending immigration matters can cause a lot of stress. However, I felt confident in working with this firm and will work with them again when I file for my U.S. citizenship.

A friend, who had received his Green Card with Marshall's help, recommended Marshall to me. I was pleased to meet a competent attorney that gave me affordable advice and explained all of my options. Marshall took care of all the applications and procedures involved with my case. He and his associates are knowledgeable, fast, courteous, and efficient. I heartily recommend their services to my friends and prospective clients.

Most people would agree that the immigration process is very ambiguous and complicated. However, Cohen & Associates really went above and beyond to simplify and explain the process.
When my relatively effortless Green Card Lottery case ran into complications such as a lost application, delayed background check and other potentially critical issues, I sought an experienced attorney. The attorneys and staff at Cohen & Associates made the effort to understand the circumstances of my individual case. Then, they worked extra hard to resolve those issues and meet the filing deadlines. They made sure every minor detail was addressed before filing my petition and they stayed focused throughout the process. I received regular updates on my case so it was not necessary for me to constantly follow-up with them.
With their dedication, persistence and hard work, many more doors are open to me and I have countless opportunities ahead. I truly enjoyed working with this devoted group of people. I would recommend Cohen & Associates to anyone regardless of how simple or complicated the circumstances might be. After all, my situation shows that even a simple case can easily become complicated and require more involvement than expected. And for that, a good attorney is essential.
Nadya Tolshchikova, Green Card Lottery
Cohen and Associates is a very effective and dedicated immigration law firm. I retained their services to obtain my green card. They were extremely helpful throughout the process. I was very comfortable trusting them with my case, because Marshall took the time to explain the process and kept me informed through frequent follow-up letters and phone calls. Without hesitation, I always refer anyone with an immigration issue to this firm.
Dr. Prosper Tong, Adjustment of Status
I had a very enjoyable and satisfying experience with Marshall Cohen. Marshall applied for a green card on my behalf. He personally took care of my application, and displayed tremendous knowledge and competency throughout the entire process. In addition, he was always available to answer all my questions. Earning permanent residency in such timely manner has helped me progress in my career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I wanted to let you know that: I have attended my citizenship oath ceremony yesterday; and I have received my citizenship certificate from the director of the USCIS, Atlanta Office. I am a proud American now. On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to thank you so much for a job well-done. Please, extend my thanks to your associates and co-workers.

Mr. Marshall Cohen helped me tremendously to activate my case and fight for my rights with immigration. Every time I referred to him he did as much as could to solve my problems. I am very happy with his professionalism. I strongly recommend him to others, to handle their immigration problems. Due to his expertise I am now a proud American Citizen.

It took me a long time talking with different immigration attorneys before I found Cohen & Associates. I never imagined that my case would turn out so incredibly well. From my first meeting with Nisha Karnani and Marshall Cohen, I understood that these were the right people to handle my case. They were professional and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure where to turn or what to do, but Nisha understood and recognized my situation immediately. She walked me through the whole process and explained in detail every aspect of how they were going to work my case. Her professional knowledge, dedication and care really impressed me.
Throughout the whole process, Nisha and Marshall's professionalism was unbelievable. They treated me with great care throughout the process, and they always were informative and helpful. There were days when Marshall spent 5-6 hours in a row with me to put together all the necessary supporting documents. Nisha always took my calls, even when I called at an inconvenient time. Their commitment and hard work really paid off for me. My case was approved in 2006 and, soon after, I received my Green Card.
I'm very grateful to this people. I would eagerly recommend them to anyone needing help with immigration.

I just wanted to share with you how grateful I am for the wonderful service you provided my family! My husband had a complicated Immigrations situation that needed to be untangled. He did a lot of research on local immigration lawyers and found that Mr. Cohen had the best recommendations - and he certainly lived up to his reputation! We had no idea where to begin the process, but fortunately Mr. Cohen knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. It took a while, but we finally got it resolved last year, several years after it began. Not only was Mr. Cohen integral in making this happen, but also so was Nisha who helped us as well and accompanied us to one of our meetings with Immigration. In addition, we really appreciated the "service with a smile" provided by Debbie, at the very first phone call, and every single phone call after that! She was so knowledgeable and the epitome of helpfulness whenever we had a question or when she had to call us with questions. We really enjoyed working with everyone in your office, which is not something you normally associated with a legal practice, but that's exactly how we felt. Thank you again for being there for us. And we'll be sure to recommend you to anyone who could benefit from your services, so that you can be there for them too.

I am a post-doc researcher at the University of Georgia. I turned to Marshall's law firm for help with the issue of a name check. Marshall did an excellent job on my case. My I-485 was approved in less than 3 weeks thanks to their hard work. I have referred this law firm to several of my friends who have had the similar problems in their application.
Yang Hong, Ph.D., University of Georgia
I am happy that I had the best team representing my immigration needs. I am truly thankful to you and Nisha for the wonderful job done for me. In future, if I know someone who is in need of immigration help, I sure will refer them to your firm.

This is a note to say a BIG THANK YOU to you and your staff for a job well done. On behalf of my family, and myself, we say thank you for the good representation you provided me in my effort to becoming an American citizen.
As you can recall, it all started over ten years ago when my deportation hearing was first heard in the immigration courtroom. I won the deportation cases twice, but my application to renew my Permanent Resident card was never declined nor approved.
I also applied for an N-400 application which was never declined nor approved as well.
This resulted to my having to file for a second Permanent Resident Card and a new N-400 for naturalization.
It has been a roller coaster ride for my family and myself just to say the least, both financially and emotionally.
On Tuesday, June 19th, 2007, I received a call from an immigration officer that my applicatoin for the N-400 had been approved, adn that I should report to their office to be sworn in the following day.
Finally, my prayers were answered, and I was sworn in as a United States Citizen on Wednesday, June 20, 2007.
My sincere gratitude to you and your staff for all your support for over ten years, and thanks be to God almighty for putting an end to my legalization mystery!

Marshall Cohen showed interest in my life and career from the beginning, it was not business only. The procedure to obtain our Green Cards went smoothly and he was always available for questions and got back to us swiftly with detailed answers. I recommend Cohen and Associates with confidence to anyone who needs immigration services.

I have received the Green Card a few days ago and we wanted to thank you for your assistance and for the speed and professionalism that you and your colleagues have provided us.
You have helped us go through this process in a very easy and comfortable way.
Thank you very much and I guess we will be in touch when I need to remove the conditional status.

I just wanted to let you know how satisfied I have been with the professional services your firm has provided. My case was a complicated and lengthy one, yet you and your staff have made life stress-free while resolving matters on my behalf.
I appreciate very much the professionalism, friendliness and diligence you and your staff provided me!!

I wanted to express my words of appreciation for the outstanding guidance and assistance that Cohen & Associates have provided my husband and I. We found the immigration laws and requirements to be complex, hard to understand, and, at times, overwhelming. Cohen & Associates have made the process not only easy to understand but also less complicated. They were thorough, and professional in everything that they have done for us. Mr. Cohen's always made himself available, personally answered all of our questions, and addressed all of our concerns. And just like every immigrant would, I had a lot of questions and concerns.
Further, Mr. Cohen's staff proved to be the most professional and knowledgeable group of individuals I've worked with. This gave extra confidence, which I find to be priceless in matters of this nature. My immigration ‘journey' has not ended yet, and I am confidant that with Mr. Cohen's assistance, everything is going to end well. I have recommended Cohen & Associates to my coworkers and my friends, and will continue to do so.

If there is one law firm I would recommend for exceeding clients' expectations, COHEN and ASSOCIATES, is it. I have the proof to back up my claim. My family was on the brink of being separated due to an order issued by the INS, known now as Department of Homeland Security, for my wife to leave the country. I contacted an immigration lawyer and he said to me, "as much as I would like to help you, your case sounds a little complicated. I will refer you to Marshall Cohen and Associates, they are experts and they will be able to help you." I was very fortunate to have contacted Marshall. The level of professionalism and the personal attention to which my wife and I were treated cannot be explained. It is something to experience. Not only was our lawyer actively working on our case, personally calling to provide us status, but every one in the law firm was working on the case. My wife has obtained her permanent legal status and we are forever grateful to Marshall and his staff, their quickness, their experience, their wit, and diligence.
